Stevens is a good coach and has done a good job.
It is a valid point that the media will build it up like he's doing this with smoke and mirrors. Horford is a 5 time allstar, Tatum and Brown are top 3 picks, Smart was picked 6th, Morris 14th and Rozier 16th.
It isn't like he's doing this with undrafted FA's. Even without Irving and Hayward, the Celts have some talented guys.
Again, he's still a good coach, just that the hype undersells the talent he still has.

I agree, but taking "some talented guys" to the conference finals (and being up 2-0 against Lebron) is a pretty fricking huge accomplishment, especially considering Irving and Hayward are out.
A lot of this also has to do with them losing their 2nd best player (arguably) and still doing well, then losing their best, and STILL doing this well/going this far. At some point, it has to be coaching.
Is he the greatest coach ever? Who knows...likely not, but time can tell all of that. And obviously the Celtics front office deserves credit as well. But I don't understand why it's such an awful thing to recognize that he's done a pretty damn amazing job with the things that have happened to his team this year. Far better than almost anyone would have bet on after the first week of the season, and even up until a few months ago.

Charlotte has something like 8 players that were drafted in the top 12. You can't use the draft order for one team and then dismiss it for another. Look at all the bad teams in the league, they're filled with top 10 picks. There's only two rounds after all.
What is Stevens throd or fourth best at worse? This is just some guy that's gotten fired 5 or 6 times bitching because Stevens doesn't come from the usual nepotism of coaching.
