Whenever someone does this they immediately lose all credibility.

When you are making comparisons like this you have to use per capita numbers, not total numbers. I wouldn't doubt California would still be ahead of Louisiana if you use per capita but the contrast wouldn't be as impactful. California has like 10 times the population of Louisiana so of course they're going to have more of everything. Do you want to compare how many murders they have versus how many we have?

Ok I will do it for him


Cali population: 39,540,000

Louisiana pop: 4,684,000


So Cali has 9.75x the population of Louisiana, but 30.82x the blue ribbon schools


So roughly 3.5 times more per capita

Its rather obvious you have to take into account their population differences but even a quick glance will tell the reader California has a higher per capita number than LA

The list shows the % of schools that earned ribbons. I probably should have included that in my initial post.

25.4% of CA schools earned ribbons compared to just 6% of Louisiana schools.
