Ive had the same thing happen with a Daiwa Procyon (one of my favorite spinners) after soaking it one time.

I took it apart and cleaned it as much as I could and wiped the old grease out and put new. Doused it in Reel Magic where needed.

Ever since it has been as smooth as it use to be. I've just made sure to lightly rinse after a salt trip for the last 3 years and havent had the issue return.

Its been a great reel so was worth the time and effort to me.

I'll give it a go this week. It doubles as my drop shot reel, and it will be much needed this weekend at Toledo bend.
