If 1 or 2 QBs transfer because of the Burrow deal, does this help or hurt or chances of recruiting a future elite QB?

i kind of feel for the the 3 we have already not because of the additional competition they face but because from their perspective the LSU fanbase is suddenly ecstatic. nevertheless, the competition is the reality of the QB job. if 1 or if 2 transfer it's unfortunate but that's life.

You have to put the best players on the field period end of story. Hopefully none transfer, but the goal should always be to recruit the best players and start the best players. If any of them transfer then it opens a spot for someone else. Pretty cut and dry.

good lord, it won't make any difference. All QB recruits know the story. Only 1 QB can play, and whatever big-time school they go to will have competition at QB.

Helps. It shows we are tired of suckin at QB. time to turn the tide. Pun intended. Seriously to show that we will demand a great quarterback at lsu. At least we will try harder to garner one than we have of late

That's the fault of the HC and no one else.

Narcisse has 4 years left and will play even if he doesn't start. Brennan transferring wouldn't hurt much, and McMillian I like him but he prolly leaves.

The young guys don’t appear ready for big time college football. They can still develop and start for LSU in 1-2 years if they choose. If they feel transferring to another school and sitting a year anyway is their best option, I can’t fault them for that. That being said, I hope both stay and one or both of those guys are good enough to be the starting qb for LSU one day as I appreciate their original commitment to our program. And I believe if they are smart they will stay. For McMillan, I do believe he is good enough now to start somewhere. It would be great if he would stay and compete for the job here and let the best man win. If he chooses a different option is best for him, I can’t blame him. Regardless of who does or doesn’t transfer, securing Burrow’s commitment is the best scenario for LSU, and for that reason every LSU player, student, and fan should be verify excited!

Narcisse could start as a JR and Sr if Burrow starts 2 years. JM is prolly gone. Not sure about MB

If LSU wants to return to prominence they have to start at minimum redshirt sophomores rather than true freshman. That has doomed LSU and the wb’s in the past.

Nah. You actually do need other QBs on the roster for these things called injuries.

Then who plays when Burrow gets injured?

It should help because the future QB knows he can play/start if he is good regardless of how many QBs are on the roster.

Brennan still needs to spend another year gaining some weight. Narcisse still has a lot to learn. I'm happy that we have a more polished guy like Burrow to play from Day 1. You never know what can happen in a season or the future, so I hope they all stick around. I don't think either would play right away at another large school anyway. McMillan has been a great teammate and Tiger and I'd love to see him stick around, but I would understand if he moved on to a place that he could play.

it's not just the weight. Yes, another 20 pounds will help Brennan absorb punishment throughout the year, but that doesn't matter at all in the spring when he's gone untouched - and he still didn't do well.

20 pounds won't magically transform him into an elite QB.
