My dad has 2 of them. Someone he knows is married to a chinawoman. They said when she would go back to China she can get him one for 300$ When it came in all the instructions were in Chinese. The nice chinawoman had to come explain how to use it.
After about 6 years he thought that one broke. So he got a new one from the nice chinawoman. The new one came with a spare seal so he put it on the old one and voila it now works also.
He uses the shite out of them. Last year he made over 200 lbs of sausage and vacuum packed all of it in one day.
