Surprised no Bertrand

Jacky Boy should have been called up

played his most minutes in the last six years and was often Arsenal's best player.

England has no depth at all in the center midfield

No Jack is laughable. Where is the creativity in midfield?

Maguire over Smalling is surprising to me.

I'd say Jones over Smalling is more shocking.

Chris has been pretty good this year while Phil has been hurt.

But Southgate has a hard on for Jones, even said hes the best CB in the pool.

Gareth Southgate has named England's least-experienced 23-man World Cup squad since 1962, with the group averaging just 19 caps per player.

Southgate includes just five players — Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling, Danny Welbeck, Phil Jones and Gary Cahill — who played in the last World Cup in 2014.

Nobody in the squad has won a World Cup match

Maguire is somewhat underrated. Dude is an above-average CB and literally played every league minute for Leicester this last year.

Unlike every other English CB, he actually stays fit.

Jones is better and more versatile than Smalling.

Smalling can only use one foot and play CB/RB.

Jones has two feet and can also play DM

However, we have 6 full backs! And 4 CB, poor decision for me, should have chosen between Trippier and Alexander-Arnold and taken Tarkowski who’s passing is what people wish John Stones was.

I’d imagine this means Walker will be playing RCB in a back 5, his pace is a nice bonus in that position.

Not sure how you can laugh at Delph, 21 starts for city this season, same with Young goes against the youth movement but he’s been one of Utds most consistent performers according to my friends who are ST holders.

Would have liked Wilshere but I’m not sure where he would play anyway, clearly pretty set on Dier/Henderson starting at CM - despite everyone’s grumbles - and Alli will probably come off the bench for creativity in the centre and Loftus-cheek provides creativity aswell.

Rose and Cahill have got very lucky.

Literally means nothing given those 5 players have only been to the last WC. Would rather this than be Italy clinging on to a golden age that is long gone

Could this legend possibly be captaining a team in the champions league final then captaining England in the World Cup just a few weeks later?

4-3-3 with Alli in the 10 and Dier a little deeper lying than Hendo.

Butland
(TAA)Walker-Maguire-Cahill-Young (Rose)

Dier - Hendo (Delph)

Alli (RLC)

Sterling (Rashford) Lingard (Rashford)

Kane (Vardy)

I'll watch that team.
