What terms would you propose that would suffice?

Trust but verify.

You must be as concerned with jobs in China as Trump is.
I don't give a rat's arse about those jobs. If Trump achieves most of his NoKo/China goals, it will be a huge win. Hell, your whataboutisms aside, the fact a POTUS is even going after this stuff constitutes a paradigm shift.

Why should we waste our effort verifying ZTE? Why should we do anything for them? So they can complete with us?

You must have me confused with some other poster. I didn't post any whataboutisms in this thread.

Yes, if Trump can get the NOkO nut job to put away his missiles, that would be a big win. My concern is that Trump is setting himself up for a letdown.

The broad range of topics he said he wanted in a new Iran deal, will put him in a position of trying to get those in this deal, which will be difficult.

And the premature Nobel Peace prize stuff has put pressure on him to get a deal done. And not two years from now after we starve then out some more. By Labor day (not really, but close). Not a position that he or anyone else wants to be in this kind of a tough negotiation.

I'm not so sure Trump precipitated the paradigm shift. I'm pretty sure that was thrust upon him, when Kim fired a missile trying to hit Guam.
