If by "sporting events" you mean porn, an hour-long "sporting event" will run you 2GB or so for an hour of high-definition "sports". So about 500 hours.

Not when both Netflix and YouTube default to 4K when you're not paying attention.
You sling around a few good 4K rips and you'll find out very quickly how fast you burn through 1TB.
I have a friend who would burn through it the first week of every month because he does alot of work with video as a hobby. He finally had to switch to unlimited because of it. He's already passed 4TB this month already.
