At 3 and 11, no it really doesn't.

I've got a 3 year old that is like a little adult (a girl obviously). She's not wild and can sit for hours coloring or playing quietly by herself. Most 3 year olds are testing physics and looking for ways to commit hari kari.

I've seen 11 year olds (girls) raised in big families that are like little mothers and can handle more than most 17 year old girls.

It depends on how they are raised. 60 years ago, girls were mothers at 13. Most, but not all, kids these days are raised to be helpless and immature.

I babysat a lot from 10 years old on. But only for a few hours at a time. And I was responsible for my age. But not all day, every day for any length of time. Much less 2 weeks.

Now, let her sit for 2 or 3 hours while you are at a movie, get to know and trust her, and you might have a really good kid to call when you need her. But if I were the 11 year old kids mom, I wouldn't even let her do what you are thinking of asking. You're nuts.

And I haven't even read the other thread.
