Question for OT Docs RE Dog Bite

This morning my Mil piece of shite dog atracked one of mine. In an attempt to break it up, I was bitten on my finger. Earlier there was pus looking drainage. Now, it's just red and swelling.
I know I need MD intervention. My question is, can it wait until morning.
Oh and the in laws are locked in the guest room agast that I suggest their dog is germ ridden.
The dog was licking its arse moments before it but me.

Technically....if the dog bit you....I think you can report it and have animal control come get the dog.

As long as the dog was up to date on shots dont worry abiut rabbies. However you should treat the wound with alcoho./ peroxide, and keep it clean. If your finger blows up overnight see a DR

You need a rx for augmentin, I wouldn’t go the Er though unless your finger is mangled. All Dog bites have a high rate of infection.
