Fentanyl or one of its derivatives is thought to be what the Russians sprayed into the theater in 2002 when some Chechens had taken the place and everyone in it.

I remember them gassing the theatre (it was some kind of theatre or auditorium, wasn't it?) and then popping about 30 "Black Widows" wearing bomb vests in the forehead. The Russians don't frick around. Didn't realize that many hostages died.
