Fricking relax dude. It's a testament to the fact that spouses may have to go long periods of time without seeing their loved ones, and being left by themselves to take care of the kids, etc. back home.

Lots of civilians are in the same situation. No one gives a shite, they chose that career path just like the civilians. We masturbate to the military way too much. Budget and benefits need a good reducing.

yup. One of my best friends is a vet. He did a few tours in Iraq. The only complaining he does is about how other veterans feeling entitled. The way he looks at it is he made a choice to join, he knew he might deploy, and now he is enjoying going to school on the GI bill and not having to work until he graduates. He considers that his thank you.

Hell, I hunted/fished with him for a couple of months before I even knew he was a veteran.

This. Or freedoms haven't been protected since 1945. Everything else was police actions and nation building.

You know that USAA's customer base is the military and their families, right?

I have a friend who always gives me shite about my benefits. For instance, I get full healthcare and don’t have to pay into a system. That’s part of the package. It’s part of the compensation. If you don’t like it, frick off. If you’re jealous, sign up. I don’t complain about the benefits of other professions.
