They should feel like all three barely completed over 50% of their passes this spring. That's enough for a coach to explore all options

My God you fricking suck.

So like I said earlier, if this falls through, how do you go back to these guys and convince them that you think they're good enough?

By giving them the fricking job, whoever it is. A coach shouldn't have to "convince" an elite college athlete that they're good enough. FFS.

I doubt we'd hear fans saying, "If only we'd gotten that transfer DL (or DB) we wouldn't have lost that game!"

You are probably correct. But I would argue that the reason we have lost over the recent years has been DL play instead of QB play.

It't their own fault. The opportunity was and is still there for them to man up and take the job.

Well what choice would he have at that point? He has to play someone.

O would be stupid not to take him, as if one of the three were to transfer they'd be left with 2 QBs.

And you know damn good and well these same Rant bitches would be railing on O for not bringing in another guy.

That's a big difference in the message sent to current roster QB's.

I mean...good. We’ve had shitty qb play for long enough.

Your entire perspective here is arse backwards. It's not the coach's job to give players handjobs and back rubs until they feel adequate enough to perform. The coach's job is to WIN.

How do you feel about it?

For the last few months the Rant has been in a meltdown because of the lack of depth at QB and CB. He signs a CB transfer and hopefully a QB and the melt continues.
I hope he comes and is good enough to play if one of the others are injured.

If he develops into a quality QB, it will be the first at LSU since Jimbo left.
Etling wasn't good enough to start when playing for Miles. Now he is in the NFL. Hope, hope, hope

If you were the HC, would you be recruiting him?

This isn't rec league ball.

Put up or gtf out of the way and let next man try.

Ask Brandon Harris Or Jalen hurts about it.

Pursuing a transfer communicates an immediate, dire need. They're not going after him to say, "come on in and let's see what happens." It's more like "we need help."

Or maybe he thinks one of the 3 we have will ultimately transfer and he needs security for depth. I don't even really care. We need as much QB talent as we can get right now as no one has set themselves apart at this point. If this kid is better than what we have, bring him on down.

I've never in my life heard of the theory that you don't want to bring in new talent for fear of hurting the confidence of your existing players.

It's utter and complete absurdity.

All we've heard from Orgeron and Ensminger during Spring and since the Spring game is that our three quarterbacks are all about equal.

So, are they equal great quarterbacks or are they equal so-so quarterbacks?

After busting their humps all Spring to win the starting job our 3 QB's just learned the answer this week.

Their coaches don't believe they are good enough to be THE quarterback.

Coach O doesn't have the luxury of caring about his players feelings. He has to win now or his coaching career at LSU will come to a swift end. Plus life must be so hard being a football player at LSU. You have girls worshiping you, you get a scholarship, and you get a ton of other benefits other college students would love to have.

Agreed.

I'm glad we've turned over the a good majority of the staff that was in charge in recruiting and coaching top level recruits. And I'm glad we went out and got a new OC who wasn't involved in not elevating seemingly talented players...

Oh wait.

Have some of you been living under a fricking rock to make your ridiculous statements about how the quarterbacks feel today, O lied to them ect. Coach O has been straightforward almost since the end of the season saying we would be in the market for a transfer quarterback. I really don’t think no one thought we would get a quarterback that is supposedly this good
