In town for business next week for a few days. Any good food choices in the area? I always like to try out a good steakhouse but open to recommendations.

Schmidts Sausage Haus for good German. Deweys for Pizza. Beer go to Columbus brewing or check out Brew Dogs US headquarters

What part of town?
The best local steakhouses are Mitchell's and Hyde Park. I'm partial to Hyde Park but Mitchell's is downtown. Hyde Park is in the burbs.
Try to stop in at the Thurman Cafe for a burger. Tommy's makes the best pizza in town but they only have three stores -- one on campus, one a couple miles down the road in Upper Arlington, and one in Dublin. All are in the northwest quadrant of the city. Columbus is a great pizza town. There are individually owned mom & pop stores all over.
There are tons of ethnic food options of every sort. Except Cajun but I'm sure you're not looking for that. And if you want good BBQ then you've got to make it yourself.
Don't be like this guy who posted once asking for suggestions then never posted again:

There is a Hyde Park downtown near the convention center.

I didn't know that. I should've double checked because they've turned into a chain with a number of locations outside Columbus. I don't know how much territory they cover these days. I remember when it was just the one store on Old Henderson.

Ha! I’m still here in town.
I’m staying downtown. I ate at the Top Steakhouse this evening and had an enjoyable meal. It was a short drive from the hotel. Very old school steakhouse that seems to have stood the test of time (opened in 1955).
Very classic menu. I had the French onion soup, filet, and asparagus with Hollandaise. All were excellent. I had already had a late lunch, so passed on desert. Steak was cooked perfectly. The soup was some of the best I’ve had before.
Definitely worth a return trip at some point!

You know it’s bad when someone has to use an alter on an anonymous message board so as to not let others know they are going to Columbus Ohio.
Columbus is a cool town. If you took all the ugly white people with tattoos and made them generic fat white people living in shitty weather; Austin tx and Columbus oh are basically the same place

If you are downtown, Cafe Napolitana Pizzeria & Bar is owned by some Louisiana folks. I enjoyed my meal there.
