Since we just cut Fleener, looks like we're making room for somebody..my money is on Julius Thomas over Mercedes lewis

nor should it be on May 7th. But there's still a few worthy vets who played a lot of ball last year. Looks like Hankins is a 3-4 NT primarily.

Damn. How hard is it to convert from 3-4 to 4-3..in my mind, if you can handle both gaps as a NT, transitioning to a 4-3 would actually be easier with less responsibility?

If you go look back, Hankins was really good with the giants before Snacks came and pushed him out of position. Hankins was a good 4-3 nose. He even provided decent pressure. It’s just that Snacks is one of the best run defenders and took over at the nose tackle. He never played the same.

Also plays with horrible QBs post-manning (bortles).
Cutler and him did pretty well last year together, I wouldn't trust him to block a thing though. You could definitely do worse.

Bashaud Breeland and Julius Thomas would be homeruns imo. You can never have enough CB depth, and Thomas was fantastic with a good QB throwing to him.

I know J Thomas isn't ideal but is Mercedes Lewis much better? They're both pretty, meh. At this point no one is a real upgrade over Watson.. don't care how old he is, Watson is a boss.
As far as Breaux goes, my coworker is friends with his wife and says they'll either be staying in Nola or going to San Francisco..They apparently just bought a huge house here so I hope for their sake he gets to stay.

I really don't see the point in signing another TE in free agency. We already have Watson, Hill, & Hooman. Might end up hitting on 1 of those udfa TE's (Yelder & Wozniak).
I just don't see how adding Marcedes Lewis, Julius Thomas, or Antonio Gates makes any sense. Maybe if 1 of our TE's gets injured in the pre-season.

I'd be cool with Bashaud Breeland. I know that he was supposed to sign with Carolina, but he failed a physical. Not sure how healthy he is, but he's a solid player when when 100%.
I assume someone would have signed him by now if they could though.
