Secondly, how is removing," In God we Trust" from anything going to impact my personal relationship with God?
Lastly, thanks for your concern and judgmental condemnation. I appreciate it.
It is every ones relationship that is under the influence of the Evil One. and Darn man. Who is condemning you and judging YOU. Good grief man.

That treaty was with the Muslims in North Africa and was merely stating that we were not like the European Christian nations.
So "not in any sense founded on the Christian religion" doesn't actually mean "not in any sense founded on the Christian religion."? It actually means "we're not like the European Christian nations"?
Interesting.

Our nation was most certainly built on Christian principles and ideals. However, they tolerated other religions because America was for those who want to escape religious persecution.
Of COURSE most of the “Founding Fathers” were Christian, at least nominally. Of COURSE the underlying culture from which they came was largely Christian.
At the same time, it is EQUALLY clear that the actual governing principles were a product of Enlightenment thinking ... not Christian theocracy.
It is like a Reese’s peanut butter cup. We get the benefit of both, even if the STRUCTURE is substantially more Enlightenment than theocracy.

Those Enlightened thinkers influenced much but did not exclude Christian theologies in the development of the new government.
Deism was a creation of those same minds and the same era.

Should I have taken your," they have you leaning to the dark side" comment as praise?

Read article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli for a quick refresher on Americas foundation.
It's been well known the Founding Fathers weren't devout Christians...
But the Puritans were. And our history has been of a Puritanical culture.
Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote about this - how we can never escape the Christian piety.
Hell as late as the early 20th century we outlawed booze in America over largely religious reasons.
As they famously said in Eurotrip..."we live in a Nation founded by prudes." "Over in Europe they don't have the hangups we do about drugs and sex."

is a point of correction not condemnation. As a brother, in brotherly love. I do not wish to fight in any manner with anyone here, least of all one of the beloved.

Listen, you know as a Christian, I would love for the country to acknowledge and promote Christian ideals, but I also think that we get caught up in little distracting issues that take away from our primary goal.
We are called to go out and spread the gospel and live like Jesus. All the other ancillary issues are just window dressing.
