Don't believe the "didn't offer" stuff. He was sold on Texas.

Whatever conspiracy theory lets you keep hating I guess.

we staright out got beat by the likes of Texas Tech (lol...sad days) and texas

You really think that???

If the coaches really wanted Watson they would have gotten him. We won't lose a RB that we REALLY want to Texas Tech, maybe UT but not Texas Tech.

so why get him on official. its lot of money and resources. not that we're building relationship with high school coach or something.

It is cheaper to fly one player to Baton Rouge than to fly 10 or 11 coaches and the rest of the team to wherever he is located.

They bring a player in for a visit to see if they think he will be a fit for the program. Get along with coaches, players, take direction, not be a troublemaker or complete lunatic like the 4-star LB from Florida a couple years ago who had multiple schools cancel his visits to them.

If they don't think he is a fit he will not be on the team.

Apparently they have saved a lot of money and resources.

Available QB’s:

Blake Barnett is leaving Arizona State and has two years left.
Jacob Park was released from Iowa State
Jeff George leaving Illinois
Garret Kruczek Western Kentucky is another

I didn't know that Barnett transferred out of bama. I figured he was just buying into the process and riding the pine there.

we not fantastic at rb but qb is more of a need for 2018 season than rb is for 2018 season. Lsu will do fine at rb for at least this season.

Burrow is the only guy listed that's intriguing and should take one snap away from any of the three we've already got on the roster but he seems to be connected to Nebraska if he transfers.

Blake Barnett would be like taking Brandon Harris except worse.

It looks like Barnett is just not good. He's 3rd string at ASU.

There are also some rumblings that Trevor Lawrence is fighting for the starting job at Clemson already. Meaning he has already passed up sophomore, former 5 star, Hunter Johnson. Supposedly Johnson will transfer if he is 3rd string.

Kelly Bryant, Clemson's starter from last year, will be a red shirt junior and might transfer if he gets beat out by the true freshman, Lawrence.

So there are plenty of qb dominos left to fall.

OK come back to your comment when Noah Cain commits.
You act like we are still in circa 2007.

It's very clear already that much of the backfield work will run through Clyde and Brossette. Wasn't going to change.

Yeah we aren't losing Cain to Texas Tech! Now could we lose him to UT, Ohio St etc....??? Absolutely!!! But look at those programs losing a player to one of those programs sucks, it ain't like we are losing Cain to Texas Tech. Now that being said we are in great shape with Emery and we have Davis committed so we are in good shape so far for 2019 RB's which is obviously a position of need for us.

I guess what I am saying is chill the frick out!!! Watson isn't a star RB that we absolutely must get for 2019. He was a "filler" back for us and that was it. We will land a good RB class this year, do I wish Cain was in it? Absolutely!!! But if he doesn't come and play for his home state team, then it is what it is. But LSU isn't going to suffer one bit by not signing Cain if that is the case!.

Noah Cain was the top RB on our board if that doesn't worry you then nothing will. Because we have a couple other great prospects from LA isn't the point.
The point is when we had pur old coach we damn sure didnt have to worry about RB.
O isn't the overall recruiter that some thought he was. He was a better recruiting (DL) then a recruiting head coach.
The decline is real I guess some just "hope and pray"
The problem with O is I don't see other elite assistants coming to coach for him. He doesn't hire a great support staff. The recruiting side of our staff has definetly declined. I'm glad you blindly support LSU coaches as long as they are that but their is a reality outside of your view.
