Look, I agree with the premise of your post, but I just want you to think about this: people say stuff like this in every draft. People said this when we took Sullivan. 2 1st round picks for a possible 10 year dominant DT!

yes the day of/after the draft is always the day of full blown irrational optimism. it makes the perception of a huge gamble easier, b/c we just got a fricking stud, brah. when the perceived value is infinite, the risk becomes a lot less of a factor
