I like Davenport. He has a chance to be a stud——that said so should every other 1st round pick.

We need an impact player on D that can get to the passer. You can make the case that athletically Davenport is the best edge rusher in the draft. However if you look at consistently producing even in a non power conf his production doesn’t meet his measurables.

It’s a risky pick. But to perhaps get Jordan with a few less double teams it’s a risk worth taking.

We did give up too much. Davenport is a reach in terms of value. But if you look at who went after our pick to me the only guys on D I think could have really helped us were Evans and Taven Bryan (who went 29th). But Bryan has issues too.

Tremaine Edmonds @ 16 could end up being a steal as well, and he played power 5 and was dominant....but I trust Ireland
