Don’t worry you’ll have plenty of time to watch them, as they will be on the field 35 minutes a game at minimum.

Quoting Hanagriff, "He's like a left handed Etling with slightly better wheels."

That said, if he wins the starting job then that means both LN and MB suck and we are doomed.

If he’s the best we’ve got then fine, but it doesn’t say much for our ability to identify and develop talent.

Because he looks about as capable as Anthony Jennings and everyone is really tired of horrendous quarterback play. McMillan would just be another season of games with this stat line: 9/21 137 yards 1TD 1INT

Do trot out the 180 lb soaking wet Brennan who won’t even finish the season?

Or Narcisse who still admittedly is learning the playbook after not playing football for nearly 2 years?

Yeah I think I’ll take my chances with the elder statesman.

McMillan is a much better decision maker than Jennings ever thought about being.

I'm hoping some of these threads can be bumped come September or October.

It probably says much about why you shouldn’t fire the OC you handpicked after 11 months

McMillan offers absolutely nothing to the team’s chance of success. No more than Etling or Harris or Jennings.

At least the other two have talent and an upside. Game managers at JM’s talent level are not elevating us above 8 wins or so.

Play the most talented guy and at least give ourselves a chance to have a functioning offense.

ETA: why is it that most other schools can have a freshman qb ready to roll but LSU has to coddle ours for three years? I never knew our playbook was that complex

As do I. But if McMillan was as talented as even Danny Etling we would have seen him out there last year. And we didn’t.

I'm with you on this one. You play the best guy.. but I'll be disappointed if McMillan turns out to be the best of the three. Then again I also don't trust any of the coaches on the offensive side of the ball to evaluate talent and/or prepare a QB adequately.

This has been beat to death on here, but it absolutely blows my mind that LSU has gone this long without finding a capable QB and pairing him with a competent OC, QB coach, etc. You couldn't make this shite up if you tried.

Ironic because this

Is exactly what was said about Harris.

Call me crazy , but as LSU fan I’ve grown pretty tired of QBs being tossed into the fire only to never recover.

Well, there's been a different playbook for each of the past three seasons.

I have no doubt that all three will get a chance to run the offense at some point this upcoming season. No way does the guy who starts on Day One remain the starter for the entire season without some experimentation.

Les Miles put a voodoo curse on LSU after his firing , dooming each and every one of his successors to recruit 4* QBs only for them to redshirt for a year then transfer out.

Someone explain to me how practice reps under three different offenses and a below 50% completion percentage performance in the spring game makes McMillan any more experienced or prepared for gameplay than Brennan, who got actual game reps last year.

It's going to be bad if McMillan starts.

I think it's probably bad either way, but McMillan is the worst move that could be made, for a number of reasons.
