Brian O’Connor
Kevin O’Sullivan
Tim Corbin
all of these guys have 1 title and have more than enough resources to have won more. They all have inexplicably choked in the postseason every bit as much as Mainieri. And O'Connor is your boy Mainieri's protege

Wrong. None of these coaches are at programs that are the equal to LSU

Here’s my deal with PM. I am a huge fan of the baseball team and went to games pre-Bertman. I have been turned off by PM since season one when on camera he mentioned to a reporter during the team’s struggles that “Our fans are great. They know we don’t have the players to be good yet “
I was appalled that he would say that on camera for his own players to hear it. He was also basically making Smoke a scapegoat. Skip would always make his players believe they were capable of being winners and I believe PM’s comments were cowardly.
I hate for the players when they struggle like they are now but a huge part of me enjoys it when PM fails and has no one to point a finger at.
I recognize that PM has had modest success here. I thoroughly enjoyed our championship year. Do I believe there are coaches who would do better here? Absolutely. I know that as long as PM goes to the WS every few years they will keep him around. In the meantime with every failure of the team I will hate it for the players but take the opportunity to rub PMs nose in it since there are no more excuses for him to turn to.
I don’t expect you or any of PMs defenders to turn on him. I was a huge defender of Miles for basically the same reasons I see you defend PM so I really get it. The difference is I truly respected Miles and the way he always had his players backs. All that being said....
Go Tigers!
