It was a move he made based off of whatever paper he was looking at maybe. It was dumb. Fontenot was doing fine. He was being squeezed by the ump yes, but he had good movement on his pitches and he’s got a live arm. If Beck is off, he’s off and he came in flat against a squeezed zone and thus the result. PM just outthought himself. Fontenot should’ve stayed in. NOW they’re in the game... my opinion.

Always the case with pulmonary. Leaves a pitcher in 10x too long. It works occasionally but not often.

Bush could have stayed in longer,he could have easily let Bush get to a hundered pitches or start to slow. Unless he wants to start Fontenot vs Lamar on Wednesday it not a smart play to pull him.

Fontenot was doing fine.

Are you kidding me? The same ref was calling it for the Gamecocks, too. Fontenot and Beck both stunk, just as they did against Tulane. Our pitching is so inconsistent and our hitting isn't up to par with other teams in and out of the SEC. The bats get hot every now and then. Young or not, this team should be better at this point.
