2’ is yuge when going up or down in boat length. Lot of solid choices in both lengths but zero downside in a longer boat. Keep your powder dry and be proactive when your dream boat comes up because some else is doing the same thing. What’s your budget, location & wants?

The only time it's really going to matter is the 1-2s with occasional 3s days. Bigger than that and they both will suck. Smaller than that and they both do great.

There are plenty of guides working out of a 22 ft boat.

I don't understand the 24 plus boats. They aren't good for inshore fishing unless you are fishing large deep flats. You simply can't have everything in a boat.
