Our state legislature can't stand Nashville or Memphis doing anything

Simply because it's a total emote show.

quote:

Nashville decriminalized pot last year, but the state legislature voted to overrule it.

Cities don't have that kind of power and it's an emotional act by democrat politicians in the city.

I expect them to do the same if our mass transit bill is approved by voters.

The "mass transit" bill you refer is a $5-9 BILLION TAX INCREASE for no improvement whatsoever. Watch their own ads that state a benefit of this new "mass transit" bill is that the city will SYNCHRONIZE THE TRAFFIC SIGNALS! WHAT?! Do that NOW with the employees we pay for with the current tax structure and see what improvements can be achieved before we look at some new tax measure for buses and trains that won't serve the heavy traffic areas.

went down 8th to the legendary nathan's gyros near tribecca last week and i swear every single light was INTENTIONALLY set to cause as much pain as possible.

i know i've made that trip in 10 minutes from cummins station a zillion times but somehow all the lights seemed 'off' this time and the light cycles were WAY longer. like 2-3x as long to change.

i'm sure that has NOTHING to do with making people want their light fixed and voting for a 9 BILLION DOLLAR SPENDING BILL (which we all know will double or triple by the time this crap is built)
