To everyone having problems with the Valkyrie Queed, this will really piss you off...
Yeah, it pissed me off. It took a few hours to kill the queen and on my second try she had no health, literally no bar. just needed to blow in her direction and she would have fallen over but she hit me first and I died.
Then 2 or 3 hours later, I finally killed her.
Watched a vid of some guy going over every move she makes. Easily beating her on hard without taking any damage. Key is staying calm and memorizing the moves.
I didn't stay calm and I didn't memorize the moves.
God I hate pressing the damn stick to run. My thumb feels like it was crushed in a closing door.

story-wise, im fixing to travel to Jotunheim. I knocked out all ravens and collectibles, and all i need to do is kill the valkyrie queen and open the 3 tears in Niflheim
ive been playing on Give me a Challenge and haven't used any resurrection stones. I turned it down to Easy for the Niflheim farming though. It is just not fun and I don't have time to waste doing it. I suffered through and completed all the Muspelheim trials on Challenge, and it's just not worth it to do it for Niflheim. Exercise in tedium.
I'm gonna close those tears, crank the difficulty back up, kill valk queen, then finish the story for the plat.

I've killed the queen but still need to do the 3 realm tears as well. I might turn it down to easy to farm as well. It's pretty tedious.

going to start another play through of bloodborne when done

What I did for the three real tears is I did it backwards. I farmed for highest one first then middle, then the lowest. Mentally for me it was easier even though it's the same regardless of how you do it.

Finally beat this game. Definitely deserving of all the praise it received. The Final battle was fun but honestly left me wanting more.

Did you beat all the Valkyries?
Posted on 1/30/19 at 7:28 pm to TigerMyth36
I’ve killed a few of them but not all of them. Worth doing?

The Valk Queen was a bitch. The one true and only challenge in GoW. She is easy once you get her pattern down but don't fckk up.
Worth it? Well it's end game of end game. The gear you get bring you into NG+ if interested.
I really want some GoW DLC.
It might be a perfect game.
Story
Mechanics
Pacing
Reward System
Father and son relationships really get to me. My dad is someone I look up but no doubt went through that know better stage. Had the same cycle of feelings. That is Norse mythology though, it's all about the cycle. Everything is cyclical.
I love every second of this game.

I have played it twice, love this game, almost as good as HZD.

Yeah, You haven't even begun to fight anything hard yet.
Final Valkyrie is easily the hardest fight of the game.

not quite, enemy variety and reskinned Valks/Trolls being 90% of the boss keeps it from claiming that
probably the most polished game I've ever played though. masterfully crafted

I had zero beefs with it.
Fantastic graphics, especially for a console. Fantastic acting. Simple but not so simple story. Actual character arcs. Liked the score a lot.
My only beef would be the final fight was underwhelming. Heck, it should be harder than the Valkyrie fights, but it wasn't.
Might be a bit short if you went straight through the main story without doing side content.
I would call it about a perfect game for me. I do all the side content and didn't care about the weak final fight.
Hell, it gets bonus points for Zero Bugs. It goes to...

I too beat the game pretty recently. I didn't do all of the extra stuff, and I may go back to it at some point. It was excellent.
My biggest criticisms both go back to stuff at the end of the game. Last boss was kinda a let down and the ending wasn't much of an ending. I do know that a sequel will be coming though, so that's a good thing.

I put 95 hours into it. It was the game of the year for me last year easily.

I can see this but it is a damn near perfect game.

I came across one load bug where the glowie/item I was suppose to grab didn't work.
That is it, the game is perfection.

The last boss was meh but it wasn't about him. It was about mother/son, father/son, parent/child.
I felt for them all. Going through rough times with parents I can relate.
We must be better, the cycle ends. That Kratos line made me want to become a better person, a better son and a better boyfriend.
The game really hit me in the feels at times.

I liked the story and I enjoyed the bond between Kratos and Atreus, but I didn't quite get the same impact. Especially with Freya's reactions to that whole situation. It didn't really feel right imo.
