The Perjury trap. No matter what Trump says he will be charged with it.

It's at the judgement of the prosecutor. If Trump tells the truth, and Billy Bob's story does not line up with it it's 100% left up to the prosecutor on who to believe.

a prosecutor can't charge a sitting president with perjury or any other crime. Only the HoR can indict a sitting president.

There's no trap if you don't lie.

The idea of Trump being questioned by Mueller. It's called a perjury trap because there are ambiguous elements to the case whereby some crafty questioning can lead someone into a lie - and also - because accounts will vary, person to person, you can tell the truth but if it is contradicted by someone else, a prosecutor can decide the other person is being truthful and that you are not, and thus charge you with perjury.
Trump is likely in a lose-lose situation - that's the point.

False.

I'm not sure where the disconnect is. Am I not being clear?
Muller has 100% charge over this. He can 100% determine that Trump committed perjury. That's not even debatable.

That's not true. You can tell the truth, as you remember it, and if the Feds have a statement that conflicts with your remembering the truth, it's sufficient to sustain a perjury charge. There's a reason why interviews with the Feds aren't recorded. It's to increase the likelihood of a process charge.

Yes, and then the Senate adjudicates it and in the current political climate if Mueller issues a report saying POTUS committed perjury - what are the odds they critically examine that charge versus blindly accepting it as they virtue signal their #resist street cred?

I gave context. If Trump interviews with Mueller, it is Mueller's choice to determine if Trump commits perjury.
Comey has interviewed. It's Trump vs Comey and who ever Comey told the story to.

It's not even that. He could be tight lipped and Mueller find him to have committed perjury.

It could never be because he lies all the time

Trump embellishes a lot. That Is his biggest risk

Cam Mueller compel the president to testify? Or appear for questioning, however you prefer?
What is he going to do to a sitting president for not appearing; throw him in jail?

Only if he's under oath.
His lawyers are retarded if they let him even talk to Mueller.

Double False. Fake news.
If you tell the truth to the prosecutor, and a "witness" says something else, it is up to the prosecutor to choose which statement he wants to believe.
It has nothing to do with the truth.

If I were being interviewed by a SC, every answer would be I don't recall. If they interviewed me for 5 hours I would say I can't recall for 5 hours
