We called the people we intend to bomb to get their people out.

We tweeted to get the civilians out.

This isn't a secret bombing where we intend to take human life just destroy infrastructure.

The talking points are out.

Trump is telegraphing his strategy!

Trump said back in so and so that he would not do that!

Impeach!

It’s post like this that crack me up. Fake news? He is the one posting this stupid shite, not the fake news. The media has to do nothing on their end to make him look like a blabbering idiot. Anyone who can read can see that.

Perhaps he's broadcasting to the Russians so they don't have troops in the areas we strike; would potentially start WWIII if we did.

I thought the excuses on the first page were embarrassing, but I should have continued reading.

Holy shite.

You're suggesting Trump is using early morning tweets to telegraph his plan to bomb Syria in order to get Russian civilians and military members out of harm's way?

That seems like a perfectly logical explanation in your opinion?

And then we have the holier-than-thou 'persons' like you. If you can do better than POTUS, go ahead and run for President.

On a serious note, some of you need to come to grips with the fact that the president is capable of fault. There are a few posters here who can and do find a way to excuse every little hiccup he makes. It's got to be embarrassing, no?

It's not uncommon for law enforcement nowadays to Tweet if they are rolling on a dangerous situation, SWAT call, hostage situation, etc to warn citizens in the immediate vicinity to stay in their homes or stay out of a certain area (a good example was during the Austin bombings, for example, Austin PD did a really good job altering people WHERE not to go). I'm sure there are good law-abiding ordinary people in Syria, who follow the POTUS Twitter account, and it is a humane and civilized thing to let them know to be alert and be prepared for what may or may not come. This single Tweet could close Syrian schools, allow hospitals to prepare, let Syrian civilian authorities protect water supplies, stage ambulances, move the elderly to safety, etc etc. There may even be anti-Assad "good guys" on the ground, who could use this Tweet to hunker down or make plans to hit Assad while he is focused on this. Our military intelligence could also observe Russia's military actions, troop and plane movements and diplomatic chatter, immediately after this Tweet, to gauge what they are doing to mobilize and help Assad, to determine how serious the Russians are at this time about protecting him. It could even lead to movements on the ground that might clarify where the chemical weapons are, or who has them. By mentioning that our missiles were "smart" and that Russia would not be able to easily shoot them down, it sorta dares them to activate/move their anti-missile assets into place, which we can maybe then detect and see what they're doing or know what they have in the area.

There are a LOT of things about this Tweet that the OP doesn't seem to have thought about. At ALL.

Why not just follow precedent set in previous administrations (oh, like billyboy's and BHO) and pretend that he walks on water. Or is that not a two-way street?!?!

Of course it is, and we ridiculed those people too.

Saying "Obama did it" shouldn't be a reasonable excuse for any and everything that comes up.

Or, more likely, the same guy who calls Elizabeth Warren "Pocahontas" (still cracks me up) and bragged about the size of his "nuclear button" on Twitter to Kim Jong Un probably got a little carried away this morning and screwed up.
