looks like Barzal of Islanders will win the Calder (ROY)
Keller (az) and Boesner (van) also in consideration
quote:
Barzal (6-foot, 189 pounds) led all NHL rookie forwards in assists (63), points (85) and points-per game (1.04) in 82 games. He is one of just seven players in NHL history to have at least 20 goals and 60 assists in his rookie season. He had five assists in a game twice this season to become the first Islanders player to have that many in one game since Pat LaFontaine on Jan. 11, 1990.

this is the first time someone not named "martin brodeur" has started for the devils in net in the playoffs since 1993

Pretty cool to see Crosby send personalized letters to the Humboldt survivors.

Chris MF Terreri.
It was actually 1994. He started (and won) all three games in Boston after the Devils went down 0-2 at home.

Crosby is equally as good off the ice as he is on it.
Pens sent a custom jersey signed by the team as well

Was Burke the guy before Brouder or was there someone between them?
That would be 4 playoff goalies since 1987. That’s insane

I think either Boston or Tampa Bay can beat the Penguins but I actually like Boston's chances a little more. They can throw out Bergerin to neutralize either Malkin or Crosby and Rask is capable of outplaying Murray. The question is how healthy will they be when they get there.
Tampa Bay can beat the Pens but only by beating them at their own game. They have enough talent to do that but they have to play up tempo to play their best. Boston has the ability to beat Pittsburgh 6-5 or 1-0. Tampa is only going to beat them 6-5.
I'll take Nashville to win the Cup in seven over Tampa Bay.
First round winners
Boston
Tampa Bay
Pittsburgh
Washington
Winnipeg
Nashville
Las Vegas
San Jose
Second Round winners
Nashville
Tampa Bay
Pittsburgh
Las Vegas
I don't see many first round upsets though I think Columbus has a good chance against Washington and the Anaheim/San Jose series is an absolute toss up.
I really hope my predictions for the conference finals come through. Tampa Bay vs Nashville would be an absolutely amazing finals.

Why are we subjected to Milbury? Can’t somebody find some dirt on him yet?
