yep, but the fact that these 2 are so close to each other, yet so different makes me wonder if mc'd's has just given up and doesn't care any longer.

Not “literally.”
Mostly true but I’ve been to some McDonalds that are excellent.
Problem is that McDonald’s cares less about the quality of their franchisees. A good franchisee makes for a good McDonalds.
CFA doesn’t have franchisees. They have owner operators. Much more corporate oversight. Until recently having more than one was forbidden.

Not really. Some people actually live in nice areas so the hiring pool for McDonald's is filled with nicer employees.
