I think He wanted to be here till he realized it was a clown show and he wasn’t going to get any coaching to improve him as a player and his team mates were going to expect him to win every game on his own.

He is very vocal on the topic, and he complains about EVERYTHING except literally that.

You might “feel” that was the main cause. But there are repeated interviews of him:

Pissed at the NCAA for making him go to college at all.

Pissed he spent a year not learning anything academically.

Pissed he spent a year not learning anything financially.

Pissed he spent a year not developing as a person.

Annoyed that he constantly had to deal with temptation of people trying to bribe him.

Everything.

You won’t find a single thing he ever said positively about LSU after his draft. Period.

And people want to call him in the same group as Shaq, OBJ, LF, PP, etc etc who have been proud ambassadors?

You will NEVER get him to set foot on this campus ever again, for any reason.

I don’t know why some fans are so hung up on him.

I wish him no ill. Props for his success.

But he’s not a Tiger. We were just a rubber stamp for him to get to his real goals.

I can only remember CJJ getting on any of his players in a very public way twice, and one of them was when Johnny instructed Ben to do something while he had the ball and Ben literally waved CJJ off.

Johnny called a time out an lit into Ben for 30 seconds in a very un-Johnny-like animated tirade. Ben seemed to be barely paying attention. It was much too little and much too late. It IMHO illustrated the lack of credibility and respect CJJ had from the players. There was very little accountability.
