You are taught how to bunt from the first time you play baseball. The technique does not change over the years. You never dip your bat like Beau did twice that last effort. That is taught from day one. So how is that a coaching issue over a player execution issue?

Most of these kids have been the best hitter on every team they have ever played on so they were never asked to bunt in games. Now some of them cant hit SEC pitching and they need to bunt. And that means that they need to practice bunting until their freaking arms are locked into that position from being there so much. That is what makes it a coaching issue. You can bet your arse if Skip had this problem each of those guys would be bunting 500 balls off the machine and live pitching every day until their statistics show that they are nearly 100% successful every day.
No excuse for a 155 lb SS who hits .235 to not be able to safety squeeze off any fastball he gets thrown.
