re: Michael Scott's unintentional racism was great

I always watch The Office in syndication, and it is one of my favorite shows of all time. I recently started a legit rewatch with the gf because she's never seen it (outside of here and there or reruns with me). She loves it, but I forgot just how over the top bad/offensive Michael was in S1. She mentioned at one point that he'd surely have been fired by now with acts like that, and I just told her that the character really calms down in S2 and beyond. I knew S1 was a little different in feel, but forgot JUST how abrasive and inappropriate he was. S1 definitely has an uncomfortableness to it that is rartely matched throughout the show (although maybe Scott's Tots comes close ).

I always have episodes on my DVR to watch now, but it's cool to be doing a legit rewatch with someone who has never seen the show. I'm pumped.
