Sonovabitch what an incrdibly powerful and poignant scene and interaction between two characters.

It never gets old:

"I don't believe no five pistoleers could do in Josey Wales."

P.s. The scene is also about air on Reelz Channel.

Glad Josie didn't have to kill him. Fletcher was a good man.

Too many good quotes/scenes to remember all of them.

Buzzards gotta eat same as worms.

You get them holes to leakin and I’m gonna whoop you with a knotted plow line.

You gonna draw them pistols or whistle DIXIE?

How’s it on stains?

Some days I think it is the best Eastwood film, and that's high praise indeed. Other days, I think it may be the best film.

Ever.

Scene like that in Conagher..

Dude is shot and about to die. Con wont help him. Kid riding with
him wants him to

Young Cowboy: You're a hard man, Conagher.
Conn Conagher: It's a hard country, kid.

Tom Turner is the biggest disappointment in the movie. The fact we didn’t get to see the guy that:

Told his mother it was a paradise out in the desert, with Live Oaks, black tailed deer, etc

Was banging the local whore.

Was saving up for his daughter and had his nose to the grindstone, yet was staying drunk at the saloon.

Was a proud member of the Redlegs unit

One of my favorite movies, with one of my favorite quotes............

I wore this frock coat in Washington, before the war. We wore them because we belonged to the five civilized tribes. We dressed ourselves up like Abraham Lincoln. We only got to see the Secretary of the Interior, and he said: "Boy! You boys sure look civilized.!" he congratulated us and gave us medals for looking so civilized. We told him about how our land had been stolen and our people were dying. When we finished he shook our hands and said, "endeavor to persevere!" They stood us in a line: John Jumper, Chili McIntosh, Buffalo Hump, Jim Buckmark, and me — I am Lone Watie. They took our pictures. And the newspapers said, "Indians vow to endeavor to persevere".

We thought about it for a long time, "Endeavor to persevere." And when we had thought about it long enough, we declared war on the Union.

When Josey told the old indian that people he liked didn't stay around long and the indian said that people he didn't like don't seem to stay around long either

I sarcastically use that phrase a lot with my kids. They don’t think it’s nearly as funny as I do.
