But that makes sense, Kaepernick's Crusade had nothing to do with football.
Kaepernick had been kneeling for weeks before these Super die-hard football fans even noticed. Basically they needed some talking head on cable news to point it out to them so that they could decide to stop watching a sport they never watched to begin with.

I just found it hilarious/annoying that the whole brouhaha was being driven by groups that really didn't give a shite about football to begin with
But then it got so big that it just hung over the entire sport for awhile
I don't need or want my football with a side of politics.
