From just last weekend:
That you can replace a chainsaw chain and put it on backwards.
Didn't screw up the chainsaw, but ruined the brand-new chain. Had to buy another.

What exactly were you cutting? I've done that a few times over my years and it's never been more than a damn it moment because I had to take it back apart and flip it around.
