UWS is garbage. Mine has been a POS since I bought it new and I'm only in it 5x's a week. Weatherguard is expensive but it's incredible how much better built they are.
speak for yourself, my last one was awesome for 8 years. yes, weatherguard is the best, but it's overkill for anyone thats not a contractor. Mine stores small tools for use here and there and it's perfect for that. i dont need that big bulky mfr for what im doing
UWS are far from garbage and are perfect at that price point. I've never heard a single person slight them until you.

2 of my buddies have had problems with theirs. Crooked logo, lid doesn’t shut all the way, etc. The bar for the latch on mine is crooked and I can’t do anything about it because it’s welded on there. O well, it’s on my new truck so I’ll just continue to deal with it

quote:I have owned a bunch, including Weatherguard, and my current RKI steel one is around 20 and still going strong. I have only painted the exterior, and welded d-rings to the outside corners.
weatherguard is the best
I'd buy an RKI steel over anything
