Why are you still on our message board 2 days later arguing about it? Seems like your the one who can't get over the game. But one thing we can all agree on: this is a rivalry that needs to continue. Great game, great crowd, great atmosphere....just the outcome kinda sucked,

Nice try at relevancy. Don't see it working out for you. ULL at its absolute very best, still lost LSU during a transition year.

And in one breath he says that we were never on his mind, but in the next one he is able to spout off our complete history for the last 5 years.

No it really doesn't.

I don't mean this as disrespecting ULL at all, but if this becomes a rivalry, then LSU is not moving in the right direction.

LSU wants to be rivals with Kentucky, not ULL.

Not saying we ever will be rivals with KY, but that is the goal.

Please cite, with link, to where Wade has admitted what he said was wrong? B/c I follow pretty much every Wade interview/presser and have yet to hear this. And while ULL coach may not have used the word “scared” in his statements, he highly insinuated it. And while I agree his original comments were made under the pretense of chastising the NIT committee, he used it as an opportunity to take several jabs at LSU to garner attention.

What you, and other ULL fans fail to realize is that Wade completely played to his audience and won in a BIG way. First off, he waited till after handling his business on the court before he took care of business off the court. Your coach can learn a thing or two there. Second, Wade isn’t going to apologize because he has nothing to apologize for. The fans he represents and coaches for LOVE everything about what he said and he only endeared himself to them even more, further solidifying and growing the fan base moving forward. Third, LSU fans could care less that these comments were directed at ULL. The same situation could have happened with just about any other school (in or out of state) and our fans would have reacted the same way. So no, this incident and the way LSU fans reacted does not elevate your team’s status or relevance to LSU. You just happened to be what was on the “menu” for this week.

And finally, I hate you for hijacking what could have been a good conversation on Wade’s scheduling philosophy and turning it into yet another stupid ULL thread, when it was never directed at y’all to begin with.

You want so desperately for this to continue, but once this dies down, no one here will ever mention ULL basketball again, except for an occasional cajun fan baseball or softball thread hijack.
