Exactly. I dont consider waterboarding someone as torture. To me torture would be shoving bamboo up he fingers, cutting off skin or appendages, breaking bones, pulling teeth, etc.
I dont think anyone died from being waterboarded, they may have thought they were going to die but most surely survived.

Fake news rules the day once again
But if only there were some videos that could clear this up. That's right there were until Haspel destroyed them, reminiscent of a certain presidential candidate whose emails mysteriously vanished.
Regardless, it seems to me that since the deep state controls the information so we can't truly know the truth, maybe we should just find someone whose truth is only known by the deep state.

And I think the Bush administration's justification that it wasn't torture because it doesn't cause "severe pain or suffering" is decieving because they know that they it's intended to create a psychological response that isn't as easy to measure and verify so they can just dismiss it as not severe.
And maybe this is my psych background, but given the one of the primary bases thst soldiers in the Iraq War suffered when returning home was PTSD, which you could just the same argument as waterboarding to dismiss.

Chris Holton of the Center for Security Policy reported this morning on the erroneous accusation against Haspel by ProPublica, which he said is partially funded by Soros. He added that Haspel wasn't even in Thailand during the reported incident.
He also didn't have kind words for Paul who only yesterday repeated the false report as though it were true as a reason for his not supporting her appointment.
Holton went on to say that "Paul would prefer a 'pacifist' in the position."

I dont think anyone died from being waterboarded, they may have thought they were going to die but most surely survived.
But I'm not sure what dying has to do with the torture argument. Torture is not meant to kill someone, as they defeats the purpose, and the torture methods you described above aren't usually lethal themsleves either.
I wouldn't expect pulling teeth to kill someone (unless there was an infection or something). And it's actually pretty close to a common dental procedure, just done more painfully. So why would they be torture then?

Leftists are such assholes and hypocrites they paint any female not in lock step with their nonsense as crazy.
Examples:
Sarah Palin
This CIA Lady
Michelle Bachman
The FBI lady who got Mike Flynn canned when he stood up for her
Carly Fiorina
Margaret Thatcher
Marie LePen
The list goes on
They truly and completely suck, and their double standard is disgusting.

quote:Well I had never heard of this guy, but his neocon fear-mongering is quite entertaining, albeit concerning since neocons haven't gone away yet.
Chris Holton of the Center for Security Policy
I especially like his story on AL Jazeera when they launched in the US and he was arguing that it was going to be Jihadist propaganda. Then he later argued that they support the Shia Iranians, which the Jihadists like AL Queda and ISIS want to murder as well. And of course, he leaves out that they are banned in many of those Jihadist (Saudi Arabia) recruiting grounds.
He also has a lot of articles about some law called American Laws for American Courts to prevent "foreign laws and doctrine" to be used to infringe in constitutional rights, as if the Constitution itself doesn't already do that.
So he can call Rand a pacifist, but I'll take Rand's pacificism over his ignorant neoconservative views any day.

When she destroyed the videos there was no obligation to preserve them.
We should just take everyone’s word for destroying things that could potentially have concerning information.
And above all else, we should believe the deep staters.

People like Holston hate Rand Paul because Rand exposes the lie that Republicans want limited government. At least Rand understands that limited government will never be achieved domestically when you have rogue groups like the CIA fomenting perpetual conflicts and wars around the globe that we inevitably get involved in both militarily and economically.

Carly Fiorina

Margaret Thatcher

Marie LePen

That's disappointing. I tend to support people that waterboard terrorist.
Don't worry. She did torture other detainees once she was chief of base. And she did order the destruction of the tapes afterward to avoid public scrutiny of said torture.
For all the fuss about this retraction, it boils down to, "She was directly in charge of the torture of one fewer person than previously reported."

No she didn't. And the Abu Zubayda stuff was added in to the attacks to make it seems like she was "torturing" innocents. She was not.
As usual, the resistance overstates it's case to cause maximum harm, then walks it back quietly. Disgusting.

It's all Fake News.... They cook up all these bullshite stories to back they're agenda. They put it out there under an "anonymous source" and the public eats it up and a few days later they come back a slide a "we misreported, Sorry" and no one hears it nor cares to hear it. The damage is done! They just keep pushing bullshite and the public cannot help it...they just tell themselves some of it has to be true then they pass the word along. Not only that.... they ride it out to the bitter end and have no shame at all. They have the power to say it's over and until people buy into it enough it will never be over!

She didn't take over until after Abu Zubabhday was gone.
