care to elaborate a detailed experience as to what happened?
Short version since I’m on my phone-
They sent the same a/c repair company for years to service my two units. When I requested a new company, they said the one shittastic company was the only one available. Every time they came out, they said my units needed a “boost” of freon, which of course wasn’t covered.
They did replace one unit and it STILL needed a boost the next year.
Eventually I got fed up with it as I had paid nearly $4500 for the AHS monthly cost, the $75 service fees, and the freon over the course of five years.
The next time my units weren’t cooling and AHS refused to do anything differently, I got my own company to come out. Highly rated and reputable company. They said both units were fried due to the wrong freon being put in.
I got a 2nd company to give a second opinion and reached the same conclusion.
AHS said it was an issue I had to bring to the a/c repair company who insisted they would have never have done that and said the other two companies were trying to trick me into buying new units from them.
I called a lawyer and explained the situation over the phone and he suggested it was an easy case to win. He did say he couldn’t advise me on replacing the units or not but since I had tenants who were sweltering in July heat, I got the first company to replace both units for $7000.
The lawyer missed an important question over the phone. Said that there’s a statute of limitations of two years in Alabama for services and worried I wouldn’t be able to sue since the unit was replaced two years before and the other unit was serviced two years prior as well.
So I ended up not having a case and being out a bunch of money.

I've had decent experiences with First American. But, they don't write in Louisiana.
