Depends on the testimony to your faith you want to provide for others. The perception of the non believers is not the same and can and will be used in a detrimental fashion. A Christian should not be a hindrance for those of faith and those who are not.
Sure, we aren't as Christians suppose to cause others of weaker faith to stumble because of our religious freedom and our understanding of," it's not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man, but what comes out of his mouth." But how far should this go?
Should I not eat a cheeseburger if my brother is a vegan an offended by it?

Do not do that.
Be a brother.
Be a brother.

naw brah they're slightly skewed liberal but really centrist
The sad thing is - whoever made that chart is probably proud of it.
Fox gets classified as "Propaganda" - while Vanity Fair only "skews" liberal, and Politico is categorized above the "fact reporting" line.

I like Fox News under the hyper partisan side with all other news channels at the neutral level. These people are deranged.

You do realize that drinking wine with a meal is as culturally acceptable in many countries as drinking ice tea is here?
Even in biblical times, Paul, encouraged believes to drink a little wine to help with health issues.
I think many Christians have unduly placed a stigma on wine that should have never been placed.
The Bible only warns about excessive drinking and being drunk.
Colossians 2:16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day--
17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.
Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind,
19 and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.
20 ¶ If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as,
21 "Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!"
22 (which all refer to things destined to perish with use)--in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men?
23 These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence.

real evangelicals will never be swayed by articles in the NY-fricking Times
Or the fact that they ALREADY happily voted for a man that had a 40 year history in the public eye of lavish excess and womanizing (including 2 divorces due to infidelity). The fact that he may or may not have had sex with a porn star won't matter in the least. In fact, I suspect many "evangelicals" would be more surprised if he HADN'T had sex with a porn star.
For decades the "evangelicals" voted with their Bible clutched tightly. In the end, they were still ridiculed AND their candidates lost. This election they said frick it! We're going with guy who will fight the craziness of the left and we don't care that he might be the most "immoral" of all the choices.

Oh I do realize that drinking wine with a meal is culturally acceptable.
Drinking is fine as long as you are not a lush at it. I am to be of sober mind. So I am. Carry on my young brother.

Or, perhaps, like many thinking individuals, they realized he actually wasn't.

The biggest political chameleon in America. Thank Nikki Haley for this monument removal business, as it was she who used the Charleston shooting to take the Confederate Flag down from the State House grounds, all to score points for future political office.

I got you. But I'm neither young in age or Christian age.
And I'm not trying to be contentious. I surely understand what you are saying and how we are to act in public.
I just find it amusing that someone will judge a Christian so quickly for having wine with a meal and excuse greater things that aren't as visible.

I agree with all you are saying. I would add to that the following:
Jesus turned water into wine, not the other way around. If wine was a biblical nono then that certainly would not have happened.
Wine consumption was far safer (in ancient times) than water in many locations. The alcohol would negate some of the bacteria and other bad things that could be consumed.

Agreed.
Unfortunately, because of things like alcoholism and its results on marriages and families, overzealous Christian have misused passages of scripture to put a strict prohibition on all alcohol.
And if that's your religious conviction, I'm fine with that.
