Don't you agree that there is just something different about Asia that makes it more memorable? The days just stand out more. I lived in rural coastal Japan for two years and never tired of the feel of the place. It all feels weirdly familiar and weirdly different at the same time. I also think you find a different breed of traveler in Asia than in Europe. Like these guys that do these trip reports from Cambodia just get it.
Look up Shikoku Henro. That's my dream. I have a buddy that's already committed to doing it with me, but it's still like 7/8 years down the road and I'm getting antsy.
