Stacy is no better. Looks good on the surface, but she’s intentionally hurt employees.

When questioned about a pay study that reported New Orleans Firefighter’s were alarming low, she’s quoted as saying “well they’re fortunate to have time to have 2nd and 3rd jobs, which the rest of us are not”

So instead of paying the firefighters what they deserve, she insulted them by telling them to work more at numerous other jobs.
She also was quoted as saying “why do the firefighters need to take the fire truck to medical calls?” This was after if was presented how old, beat up and used the trucks were and new ones were desperately needed. Just to add : NOFD makes 60,000 medical calls a year, thru the great streets of New Orleans, mind you. That doesn’t include, the accidents, false alarms, car fires, business alarms, elevator rescues, structure fires, etc.
She was actually clueless why we need to take the truck to anything, but fires. I’m not saying she’s retarded, but someone on the city council should know how their City agency works.
She has continued to fight against firefighters receiving 100% of their pension, increasing their contributions from 6% to 10% and continuing to pay from year 23 to year 30, when previously you stopped at year 23. Costing firefighters hundreds of thousands of dollars late in their career. Also extended the careers of new firefighters to work 40 years to receive 100% of their retirement. Show me a productive 70 year old firefighter you’re counting on to help you. All the while she will receive 100% of a hefty pension.

I could go on, but she has done nothing but hold firefighters and their families down, when they're working their asses off every day for that city and getting treated like step children.
