I absolutely LOVE what this is going to do for the whole "trans" issue
Here you have a white person claiming that she is really black therefore she should be treated as such, even though there is no biological evidence that she is black.
In Re: Transgenders, you have males or females claiming that they are really the other sex, therefore they should be treated as such, even though there is no biological evidence that they are the opposite sex.
But some states and courts have begun to issue laws and/or rulings protecting transgenders as a class. But if they are giving protections to transgenders as a class, shouldnt they give protections to trans-racials as a class?
Shouldnt transracials be afforded the rights of other minorities (i.e. the ability to bid for certain jobs as a minority company, the ability to get into colleges easier through affirmative action programs, etc...)?
This is the problem with legislating based on feelings. It's a slippery slope and its going to end up coming back to bite the asses of the uber-left who pushed for this type of thing.
Rachel Dolezal clearly has a mental problem if she honestly believes she's black. Just like those who go through surgeries to change their sexes also have mental problems.
Forcing society to accept the mentally ill as who they think they are, and not as who they actually are is a dangerous road to go down and I enjoy watching the shite show that will come of it.
By the way, as an OT poster, I identify as a multi-millionaire, so I think society should give me money so that I can be what I truly identify as.
