Right over your head...
The same mental gymnastics that allows "Love your neighbor as yourself" to promote freedom of speech could also be used to advocate for gay marriage.
The common sense approach is that the Bible doesn't promote free speech, if it did it wouldn't have taken Christians the better part of 2,000 years to figure it out.
You asked the question specifically about freedom of speech... I answered... Your response was not to address my argument but bring in a new argument (well what about gay marriage)... If you want to engage in a logical discussion then I am game.
As far as your other argument, you need to read what the Bible says on homosexuality. The number of people in our culture who will hate the absolute morality found in the Bible will continue to grow.
Either way we are all sinners in need of God's grace. Christians are not perfect people.

Actually my response was addressing your argument.
I assumed what you said was true, and showed you that it would lead to other consequences that you wouldn't agree to - thus showing that its wrong. You can disagree that what I said actually showed your initial claim to be wrong, but to suggest that it didn't address your argument?
Have you ever heard of the phrase "For the sake of argument"? How I responded is common practice, the fact that you didn't catch it shows that so far this whole conversation has been over your head.
