Those are all considered "commercial" actors if you are a film snob.
The answer is probably Daniel Day Lewis

Look up his portfolio. He's a great actor but as far as being in piles of great movies he doesn't stack up to the aforementioned group, sir.

Great actor. Personal favorite but again he only has what 4 or 5 really awesome movies. And he plays "Bill The Butcher" in like 3 of them.
Don't get all snobby on me or I'll drop Phillip Seymour and my boy William H Macy.

You said pound for pound.
Dude banged out 3 oscars and something like 6 noms in his last dozen films since he broke through in My Left Foot.
Objection overruled

How long did it take you to type those lists out?
Posted on 3/8/18 at 3:29 am to Knuckle Checkin Baw
Michael Shannon.

A nerdy amount of time and research. Maybe 30 minutes.

You're missing my point. As stated this isn't about awards or who can act better. All these guys are great. It's about volume of quality films. DDL isn't there bruh.
The last question I asked was, if you had to pick one off my list and only watch his movies. How many times can you watch Last of the Mohicans, Gangs, There will be Blood? He's great but he doesn't compare in sure volume like the others.
*edit oh and enjoy watching boring arse Lincoln over and over.

Both good. Dafoe has a nice set list for sure.

That shite is nowhere in your op.
But the answer is Hanks. Most versatile and most acclaimed.

Of the provided list, you have to go with Hanks.
I mean, your list omits his job in movies like
Bridge of Spies and his Best Actor Oscar for Philadelphia...
Even his B roll stuff is iconic for genre acting-- from rom coms to pure comedy where he has a slew of solid performances.
He's the Jimmy Stewart of his time.

Ralph Fiennes has a solid pedigree...
From Schindlers List to Great Budhapest Hotel...M in Bond movies, and I don't care for the potter films but he's the foil...
Neeson as well...from Krull to Darkman to Schindler to Star Wars to Batman...
