Remember in those 10 years you have become old. shite just hurts now.

I’ve lost 30 pounds or so since I bought it. I wake up with my right, or left, arm numb. It hurts the entire day. I thought the material might just be old and crapping out. You’re a science guy. Does this stuff become compromised over time?

My father had this exact same thing happen to him. Had nothing to do with the mattress. It was a medical condition. I’ll ask him what it was.

He had hand surgery and it fixed it immediately. Got worse and worse as time went on to the point that he could not get a good night’s sleep. Finally went to doctor who said he knew exactly what it was...something about a tendon pressing on a nerve and causing arm to go numb and hurt, only while sleeping. Outpatient surgery to cut tendon, it grows back properly in form of a bridge. Only bad thing was he couldn’t use his hand for about 6 weeks.

You may have a medical issue, not a mattress issue.

Could it be that the mattress is now to firm for your body type?
I ask this because I recently bought a foam mattress and started having back and neck soreness in the mornings that seemed to linger for several hours. Went back to the store to return it (100 night sleep challenge) and dealt with a different salesman. He took one look at us and said you dont weigh enough for the firmness you have. We swapped out for a softer feel and its been like sleeping on a cloud ever since. Pain has gone completely.
