With our big receivers, we also have a 6-6 255lb TE who might be the best TE we have had in a long time and I kno that's that saying much.

People say this year's team will lack leadership but I think Moreau, Giles, Brosette, and Brumfield will give us a lot of that this year.

Agree completely...we saw flashes of brilliance from him last year and we need to find a way to make that work for us.

TE is a young QB's best friend. I'm all for it if they can figure it out.

There's a lot of talent at the TE position. Moreau is the most complete tight end on the squad. Then you add Pettigrew who's probably the best athlete out of the group and Moss who's the best pass catcher. I think we see Moreau on the early downs and short yardage situations. While Moss and Pettigrew see the field on obvious passing downs and situations.

Moreau is good as shite. I’ll probably draft him on my fantasy team someday, he needs more attention

I remember the recruiting board was bummed we had to settle for him rather than reeling in a big fish. Worked out alright.

Moreau has developed pretty well here. I think he used to play basketball in high school too.

Like I have said before, if they are really serious about running a spread offense (I'm not really optimistic about it because I keep getting burned), a lot of guys will blow up this year.

In particular I see Giles, Davis, and Moreau being the top 3 pass catchers with Anderson (if he isn't in trouble with the coaches again), and RB Helaire, as the top 5 pass catchers.

Ensminger was one of the first OC's to use the Spread. Osborne was the first to use the Spread I Formation. If you watched the Bowl Game with Louisville LSU used the Spread a lot.

Having Moreau and Moss should give us a good combination at te. We should be pretty strong in the red zone this year.

I'm also very interested to see what Ensminger does with Zach Sheffer. He's a little smaller at 6'3 230 so I could see him as an H-back and I imagine he will earn playing time due to him being a very physical blocker. His senior film has more pancake blocks than most OLs. He was also used out of the backfield a lot.

Senior film:

Don’t sleep on Jacory Washington . If he improved his strength and blocking , trust me he’s the best TE on this team

Damn autocorrect meant Jacory

I hope Jacory does good things (as with any other player on the team), but it's gonna be his 5th year in the program. if he hasn't improved his strength and blocking enough to be a factor yet, it ain't looking good. not to mention his 1 catch in 3 years.

I like his style of play. He has good size and is a very good blocker, but also has reliable hands. He won't beat you on speed, but is extremely consistent.

Being the former TE coach, Ensminger knows what he can do. He'll be used frequently with these young QBs.

He reminds me of gronk on the field in the sense that he is tough guy...willing to take a lick, give one, throw an elbow if needed.

Moreau has contributed his three years at LSU and is a solid player, but don't get carried away with a Gronk comparison.
