What exactly are you going to connect to on your laptop to watch movies on a plane? Or to do work if it needs a connection? That’s absurd.
The chromebook is the way to go. You can work offline on a chromebook as well. Just set your google drive to work offline as well.
If you are downloading movies to watch, get a bigger hard drive in a chromebook and go to town.

I have no need to do work. Only entertainment. Get a chromebook and download files is your suggestion?
