Maybe but the SEC was loaded during most of Skips era. Remember the Miss State teams with Palmero, Clark, Bobby Thigpen and Jeff Brantley. Then you had the 90s which saw 13 appearances by teams from the SEC other than LSU including Bama who in 1997 had one of the most dominant SEC teams ever and won 4 SEC tourneys during the 90s. Tennessee won 2 regular season titles 3 sec tourneys and was also a great program during that decade. I think there have been 17/18 SEC teams in the CWS since CPM took over but there are 4 more teams now and an extra season so I’m not so sure the SEC is that much better than it was. CPM is a very good coach but LSU is the top program in college baseball, we should expect the results to reflect that. Other top programs in their respective sports fan bases expect titles and they get them but for whatever reason our fanbase is more interested in making excuses for our head coach. A victim mentality and apologetic culture deal to produce greatness.

College baseball on the whole is lightyears ahead of where it was at any point in Skips tenure, the sec especially.

Like Kentucky basketball? 1 title in 20 years, Are they going to fire Calipari soon?

You think Bama would fire Saban if he only had 2 titles but finishes in the top 10 almost every year?
