The world is a dangerous place. Accepting that reality and knowing that there are people ready to protect you is not a bad concept to teach children. If you want your kids to be as ignorant as possible, that’s your choice. It sucks to have to prepare them for child predators, bullies, etc., but that’s life.

Do we really want to have armed police at school?
Do you feel uncomfortable when you go to a high school athletic event and there are police there? Not really all that scary and crazy and Nazi like, like the media portrays it to be.
